The category-wise merit list for the Main Examination SBI will prepare based on the aggregate marks obtained by candidates in the Preliminary Examination. There will be no sectional cut-off in the Preliminary Examination. Candidates numbering approximately ten times the number of vacancies available in each category will get a call for the Main Examination from the top of the respective merit lists.
The Phase-II Main Examination will be in online mode and will comprise Objective Tests carrying a total of 200 marks and a Descriptive Test carrying 30 marks. The Descriptive Test will be taking place immediately after the conclusion of the Objective Test, and candidates will type their answers on the computer.

Selection Criteria for Phase-III
For shortlisting candidates to Phase-III, each candidate will secure a minimum qualifying score individually in every section of the Main Examination, namely Test I, Test II, Test III, Test IV, and the Descriptive Paper. Depending upon the number of vacancies, the Bank will determine the sectional cut-offs for each test.
Thereafter, a category-wise SBI will prepare the merit list on the aggregate marks obtained in the Main Examination. Candidates numbering approximately three times the category-wise vacancies will get a call for Phase-III from the top of the respective merit lists, subject to securing the minimum aggregate qualifying score in the Main Examination as prescribed by the Bank.
Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to Both Preliminary and Main Examinations)
There will be a penalty for wrong answers in the Objective Tests. For a wrong answer, one-fourth (1/4th) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducttion as a penalty while calculating the corrected score. However, if you leave any question ithe candidate marks no answer, that is, no answer is by the candidate, no penalty will be imposed for that question.

Candidates will qualify separately in both Phase-II and Phase-III of the selection process. For preparation of the final merit list, the marks in the Main Examination (Phase-II), including both the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be to the marks secured in Phase-III comprising the Group Exercise and Interview.
The marks that the candiates secure in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be considerable for the preparation of the final merit list. The scores that a candidatecandidates secured in Phase-II and Phase-III will be normalised to a scale of 100 marks for the purpose of final selection.

Admit card
The call letter for the Preliminary Examination will not be collecteable at the examination venue; however, security staff and invigilator wil check, authenticate, and stamped by the examination centre staff. Candidates must retain the authenticated Preliminary Examination call letter along with the authenticated copy of their ID proof safely. Candidates who are in for the Main Examination will produce the original Preliminary Examination call letter with the authenticated copy of the ID proof, the Main Examination call letter, and other requisite documents as specified in the “Acquaint Yourself Booklet” and the call letter instructions.
In cases where a scribe facility that candidates avail, the scribe form, wherever applicable, will be collectable during the Preliminary Examination. Candidates are to carry two additional passport-size photographs identical to the one pasted on the call letter, along with the call letter and other required documents. Candidates who report without a photograph pasted on the call letter or without the two additional identical photographs will not get permission to appear for the Preliminary Examination. It is advisable to keep approximately eight copies of the same photograph uploaded during online registration, as these required during subsequent stages of the selection process.
