WB PRB SI 2024 exam date announced for Prelims and Final Exam
The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board has announced the exam dates for both Preliminary and Final Exam. The application process for the said post started in March 2024 and now the exam dates have been announced.

Exam Pattern
- Preliminary Exam (Screening Test):
- Mode: OMR-based MCQ (Computer-Based Test)

- General Studies (50 questions, 100 marks)
- Logical and Analytical Reasoning (25 questions, 50 marks)
- Arithmetic (25 questions, 50 marks)

- Duration: 90 minutes
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

- Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Qualifying tests based on physical standards and fitness.
- Candidates must meet height and chest measurement criteria and pass physical efficiency tests like running, long jump, etc.
- Final Combined Competitive Examination:

- Paper I: General Studies and Arithmetic (100 marks, 2 hours)

Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Exam are eligible for PMT and PET rounds. Those who qualify physical rounds appear for the Final Combined Competitive Examination followed by the Personality Test.
Final Examination
Final Combined Competitive Examination (Full Marks – 200) :- The Final Combined Competitive Examination will consist of three papers of conventional type questions, namely a) Paper-I :- General Studies and Arithmetic for 100 marks (50 marks for General Studies, and 25 marks for Logical & Analytical reasoning and 25 marks for Arithmetic) of 2 (two) hours duration. b) Paper-II :- English of 50 marks of 1 (one) hour duration. c) Paper-III :- Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali of 50 marks of 1 (one) hour duration
