a. Upper Age Limit: 29 years as on the closing date of the online application for Unreserved candidates. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD/Ex‑SM candidates will be as per Government of India (GOI) guidelines. There is no upper age limit for DVC departmental candidates. It is the duty of the departmental candidates to qualify in the corresponding paper of GATE 2025.
b. The candidate should have appeared in the corresponding paper of GATE‑2025 as mentioned in the following table and qualified in the same. The qualifying marks shall be as declared by the GATE‑2025 Organizing Institute.

Reservation/Relaxation/Concession
Reservation, relaxation, or concession to candidates belonging to OBC (Non‑Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/EWS (Economically Weaker Section)/PwBD (Persons with Disabilities)/Ex‑Servicemen/J&K Domicile/Victims of riots shall be as per Government of India directives.
ii) Conditions for claiming reservation under PwBD category (for only ET‑IT Post)
For getting the benefit of reservation under the PwBD category for only the ET‑IT post, the candidate must meet the following criteria to claim relaxation/reservation under the PwBD category:
- Nature of Disability – Permanent
- Degree of Disability – Minimum 40%
- PwBD certificate in the latest format applicable to the relevant category of disability, as prescribed by the Government of India, issued by a competent authority.
iii) Relaxation in Upper Age Limit
DVC Executive Trainee 2026 Notification
Relaxation in the upper age limit will be as follows:
- For OBC (NCL) candidates – 3 years
- For SC/ST candidates – 5 years
- For PwBD candidates (where applicable):
- General (UR) – 10 years
- OBC (Non‑Creamy Layer) with PwBD – 13 years
- SC/ST with PwBD – 15 years
- For candidates who are domicile of J&K during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 – 5 years, as per Government of India guidelines.
- Ex‑Servicemen / Victims of Riots – As per Government of India guidelines.
iv) Reservation/Relaxation/Concession for SC/ST
Reservation, relaxation, or concession for SC/ST will be subject to submission, at the time of Document Verification (DV), of the relevant caste certificate in the prescribed format of the Government of India issued by a competent authority, if called for
DVC Executive Trainee 2026 Selection Process
The selection process consists of the marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE‑2025 only.
Eligible candidates must have appeared in the corresponding paper of GATE‑2025, i.e., Computer Science and Information Technology (CS) / Mining (MN) / Chemical (CH).
Candidates who have qualified in the corresponding paper of GATE‑2025 shall only be eligible for the next stages of selection.
Qualifying marks in GATE‑2025 shall be as decided by the GATE‑2025 conducting authority.
Please note that only GATE‑2025 marks out of 100 are valid for this recruitment process.
GATE marks of 2024 or earlier years are not valid
Payment of Application Fee
(i) Candidates belonging to General / OBC (NCL) / EWS categories will pay a non‑refundable application fee of ₹300 (Rupees Three Hundred Only) through online mode only. Applicable bank charges have to be borne by the candidates.
(ii) Candidates belonging to SC / ST / PwBD / Ex‑SM categories and DVC departmental candidates will not any application fee.
(iii) The last date for payment of the application fee is 10/04/2026.
(iv) After payment of the application fee, candidates will have to download the e‑receipt, which they should retain for future reference and will produce at the time of Document Verification (DV).
(v) Candidates must ensure that the payment of ₹300 goes in one go; amounts less than ₹300 will not be acceptable as application fee.
(vi) Application fee once paid will not be refundable under any circumstances. Candidates are, therefore, requested to verify their eligibility before paying the application fee.
Selected candidates will execute a service agreement bond to complete the prescribed probation period of 1 (one) year and thereafter serve the organization for at least 3 (three) years, i.e., an overall 4 (Four) years of service bond.
The amount of the bond is:
- ₹5,00,000 (Rupees Five Lakhs Only) for candidates belonging to General / OBC (NCL) / EWS categories.
- ₹2,50,000 (Rupees Two Lakh Fifty Thousand Only) for candidates belonging to SC / ST / PwBD categories, plus applicable interest, as per the terms of the bond
Mode of Application for DVC Executive Trainee
- (i) From 10/03/2026, candidates have to register themselves online at the DVC website www.dvc.gov.in, under the Career → Recruitment Notices section.
- (ii) The closing date for online applications shall be 10/04/2026 (till 23:59 hrs).
- (iii) The closing date for payment of application fees is 10/04/2026.
- (iv) Before applying ONLINE, candidates must read the Detailed Advertisement/Notice carefully and ensure that they fulfil the essential requirements of the post and other conditions as mentioned in the Notice.
- (v) Candidates will submit the application form online and no other mode is acceptable
- (vi) A candidate can apply for one post/discipline only.
- (vii) Candidates shall have to first apply for the ONLINE Application and then click on the link for Payment of Application Fees (wherever applicable).
- (viii) If a candidate is not exempted from payment of application fees (only SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/Departmental candidates are exempted), he/she (General / OBC(NCL) / EWS category candidates) will be required to pay a non‑refundable application fee of ₹300 (Rupees Three Hundred Only).
- (ix) Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are, therefore, requested to verify their eligibility before paying the application fee.
- (x) Application process will be treated as complete only on submission of application fees, wherever applicable.
· DVC Executive Trainee Documents
- Documents/Information to Keep Ready Before Applying ONLINE
- (a) One recent scanned photograph of size 3.5 cm × 3.5 cm and signature to be uploaded in PNG, JPG, or JPEG format only, with maximum file size 2 MB while applying. The photograph should be a clear front‑view of the candidate’s face, without a cap or sunglasses. Identical photos shall be used throughout the selection process.
- (b) Candidates will also have to upload Class Xth / XIIth certificate or mark sheet, essential qualification certificate, GATE score‑card, etc., as PDF files only (maximum size: 2 MB), along with the photograph and signature.
- (c) Certificates/mark‑sheets relating to academic and professional qualifications, etc., should be kept ready for entering marks in the online application form.
- (d) The GATE‑2025 score‑card should be kept ready before entering details correctly in the ONLINE application. Please note that once the application is submitted, no request for change in Roll No. / Registration No. or Name shall be entertained.
- (e) The E‑mail ID and Contact Number entered in the online application form must remain valid for at least one year from the date of the Notice for all future correspondences. Please enter the email correctly, since all important communications shall be sent through email only.
