Ordnance Factory Chanda, a unit of Munitions India Limited under the Ministry of Defence, has invited offline applications from eligible Indian citizens for engagement as Tenure Based Danger Building Worker (DBW) on a contract basis. Initially, candidates will be engaged for one year, which may be extended up to a maximum of four years, including the initial period, depending upon factory requirements and individual performance.

Preference Order

Priority in engagement will be given in the following order:

  1. AOCP Trade Apprentices from Ordnance Factories.
  2. AOCP Trade Apprentices from Government/Private organizations affiliated to the Government.
  3. Candidates from feeder trades such as IMCP, MMCP, PPO, Fitter, Machinist, Turner, etc., from Ordnance Factories.
  4. Candidates from Government/Private organizations having Government affiliation.

Training Requirements

For AOCP Trade Candidates

Candidates selected from Government or private organizations with Government affiliation will undergo:

After successful completion, candidates will be considered for deployment as DBW personnel. A consent/undertaking agreeing to work as DBW must be furnished before joining.

Candidates already possessing a DBW training certificate issued by Ordnance Factories under Munitions India Limited during previous engagements will be given preference.

Age Limit

Candidates should be between 18 and 40 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications.

Remuneration and Benefits

Selected Tenure Based DBW personnel will receive pay based on the applicable pay scale plus Dearness Allowance for an 8-hour workday. Central DA and HRA (where company quarters are unavailable) will be admissible. An annual increment of 3% will be applicable subject to satisfactory performance. Employees will also be eligible for Risk Allowance, Night Duty Allowance (when deployed in night shifts), EPF benefits, coverage under the Employees’ Compensation Act, and bonus as applicable under the Bonus Act, 1965. Ordinance Factory wil review the performance annually, and unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination after due notice.

Job Profile

The job involves the manufacturing and handling of military explosives and ammunition.

Mode of Selection

Selection will be based solely on merit, considering marks obtained in the NCTVT (NAC) examination and the Trade Test/Practical Test. Ordinance factory willt determine the cut-off for the Trade Test e Factory Chanda on the basis of NAC marks. The final merit list will be prepar using combined scores, with 80% weightage to NCTVT (NAC) marks and 20% weightage to the Trade Test/Practical Test. Candidates possessing an NCVT-issued NAC certificate in AOCP and eligible feeder trades will be considerefor engagement.
