BPSC 72 Exam Date announced, application starts soon

The Exam Notification has been released for the 72nd Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). BPSC 72 Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: Graduation or equivalent from a recognised university.
• Age Limit (as on 1 August 2026, tentative):
  • General (Male): 21–37 years
  • General (Female)/BC/EBC: 21–40 years
  • SC/ST (All): 21–42 years
• Age relaxations as per Bihar Govt rules.

Exam Pattern for BPSC 72

1. Prelims (Screening, qualifying nature)

• 1 Paper: General Studies (History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Science, Current Affairs + Bihar-specific)
• 150 marks, Objective (MCQs), 2 hours
• No negative marking

2. Mains (900 marks merit)

• General Hindi – 100 marks (Qualifying only, min 30 required)
• General Studies Paper I – 300 marks
• General Studies Paper II – 300 marks
• Optional Subject (34 choices) – 300 marks
• All papers: 3 hours each, Descriptive

3. Interview – 120 marks (Personality Test) Final Merit: 900 (Mains) + 120 (Interview) = 1020 marks.
