SBI SCO 2026 Selection Process
The SBI SCO Recruitment 2026 selection will take place in three stages. There is no separate written examination mentioned in this selection process.
Stage 1: Shortlisting
SBI will determine its own shortlisting criteria based on candidates’ qualifications, experience, and suitability. Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview call.
Stage 2: Interview — 100 Marks
All six posts have a 100-mark interview. SBI will decide the qualifying marks.
Candidates for the four senior posts—GM & Chief AI Officer and the three DGM positions—must also deliver a 10-minute presentation on their relevant job profile, projects undertaken, or milestones achieved.
Stage 3: CTC Negotiation and Final Merit List
Salary negotiation takes place individually during or after the interview process. The final merit list is prepared in descending order of interview marks. If candidates tie at the cut-off, the older candidate is ranked higher.

Preparation Strategy for the Interview
For experienced applicants, preparation should focus on practical leadership and domain expertise rather than only theoretical AI knowledge.
- Review your most important projects, responsibilities, and measurable achievements.
- Prepare examples of how you implemented AI/ML systems, managed teams, and handled production risks.
- For the DGM roles, revise model governance, risk analytics, data security, regulatory compliance and enterprise-scale AI deployment relevant to the position.
- For architect roles, prepare to explain system design, scalability, integrations, responsible AI and business outcomes.
- Practise a concise, evidence-based presentation for the four senior posts that require it.
Key takeaway: This SBI SCO Recruitment 2026 is best suited to experienced professionals in banking, BFSI, IT, AI, and enterprise architecture. The highest advertised annual CTC is ₹1.60 crore for the GM & Chief AI Officer, but selection depends on shortlisting, interview performance, and negotiated remuneration—not simply on meeting the eligibility criteria.
