What are Rashtriya Military Schools?
Rashtriya Military Schools are English-medium residential public schools functioning under the Ministry of Defence. The five schools are located at:

MS CET Admission 2027-28 Eligibility
Admission is available for Class VI and Class IX.
Class VI Eligibility
For Class VI, candidates must be within the prescribed age range and should have passed Class V or be studying in Class V and pass it before admission. The previous RMS prospectus prescribed an age of 10 to 12 years as on March 31 of the admission year.

For Rashtriya Military School Admission 2027-28, the educational qualification differs for Class VI and Class IX admission.
For Class VI: No previous educational qualification is mandatory for admission. However, students studying in Class V are eligible to appear in the Class VI entrance test.
For Class IX: Candidates must have passed Class VIII from a government-recognised or recognised school before the date of admission to a Rashtriya Military School. However, students currently studying in Class VIII will also be eligible to appear in the Class IX entrance examination. They must pass Class VIII before admission.
