Eligibility for India Optel Project Engineer

1. Project Engineer (Optical System Designer)

Educational Qualification

  • Basic:
    • First‑class (≥60% marks) full‑time regular B.E./B.Tech or B.Sc in Physics from a recognized university.
  • Preferred (advantage only):
    • Post‑graduation in a relevant field (Optical / Laser / Photonics etc.).

Eligible Branches (for degree)

  • Optical Engineering
  • Laser and Electro‑Optical Engineering
  • Optics and Optoelectronics
  • Photonics

Professional Qualification

  • Degree in any of the above branches (same as eligible branches) is treated as professional qualification for this role.

Desirable Qualification

  • Any certification in Optical Design of at least 3 months duration is preferable.

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of work experience in Optical System Design.
  • Of this, at least 2 years must be on Zemax (or Zemax‑based) optical‑designing tool.

Specific Skills Required

  • Hands‑on with optical design software such as:
    • Ansys Zemax Optic Studio
    • KeySight CODE‑V
  • Design experience for systems and subsystems using:
    • Aspherical lenses
    • Spherical lenses
  • Design experience in IR and visible wave bands.

2. Assistant Project Manager (Marketing)

Educational Qualification

1. Allowances

For fixed‑term contractual employees at IOL:

  • Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA)
    • Payable as per the applicable DA rate (linked to inflation/central‑government pattern).
  • House Rent Allowance (HRA)
    • Allowed as per applicable ratesonly if no company accommodation is allotted.
  • Medical Allowance

3. Tenure of Engagement (fixed‑term basis)
