On sectoral-level data, it clarified that while NIC/NCO codes allow sectoral analysis, adding specific sectoral questions would lengthen the schedule, and such extensions may be explored in the future.
A key modification highlighted was the shift from NSS Region to District as the primary stratum, making the PLFS more representative for district-level analysis.
Concerns about high standard errors in certain districts also addressed, with the assurance that the expanded sample size will significantly reduce such errors and improve robustness of estimates.

For the first time in any academic year, since the beginning of UDISE +, the total number of teachers has crossed the 1 crore mark in 2024–25.
The increase in teacher numbers is a critical step toward improving student-teacher ratios, ensuring quality education, and addressing regional disparities in teacher availability.
The numbers are steadily increasing since 2022-23 and the reporting year.
There is a rise of 6.7% number of teachers during the reporting year as compared to 2022-23.

Lending period beyond 2024 for PM Street Vendors Atmanirbhar Nidi PM Savnidhi scheme.
The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has approved the “Restructuring and extension of the lending period beyond 31.12.2024 of Prime Minister Street Vendor’s Atma Nirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) Scheme”.
The lending period has now been extended until March 31, 2030.
The total outlay for the scheme is ₹7,332 crore. The restructured scheme aims to benefit 1.15 crore beneficiaries, including 50 lakh new beneficiaries.
Implementation of the scheme would be the joint responsibility of Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and Department of Financial Services (DFS).
DFS being responsible for facilitating access to loan/ credit cards through banks/financial institution and their ground level functionaries.
