RRB ALP 01/2026 notification is out in Employment New for recruitment of 11,721 Assustant Loco Pilot in Indian RailwayThe Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) recruitment through CEN 01/2026, (Pay Level 2, initial pay ₹19,900).
The short notice was released in March 2026, with online applications starting from May 15, 2026 to June 14, 2026 via rrbapply.gov.in or regional RRB sites. The detailed notification follows soon. This is a prime opportunity for 10th/ITI/Diploma holders seeking railway jobs.
RRB ALP 01/2026 Qualifying Marks
The minimum qualifying marks/percentages are UR/EWS: 40%, OBC (NCL): 30%, SC: 30%, ST: 25%, and the same community-based criteria apply to Ex-Servicemen.
Normalization Process
Marks are normalized due to multiple shifts, ensuring fairness across sessions.
RRB ALP 2026 selection includes:
- CBT 1 (Screening)
- CBT 2 (Main Exam – Part A & Part B)
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
- Document Verification & Medical Exam
Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted for wrong answers in CBT 1 & CBT 2.

The RRB ALP Tier I exam, also known as CBT 1, is the first screening stage for Assistant Loco Pilot recruitment. It consists of 75 objective-type multiple-choice questions worth 75 marks, to be completed in 60 minutes, with a negative marking of 1/3 mark per wrong answer.
