Educational Qualification.

(a) Navik (General Duty). Class 12th passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

(b) Navik (Domestic Branch). Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

(c) Yantrik. Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

OR

 Class 10th & Class 12th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) “AND” Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Stage I computer based test

It also includes the document verification at the centre and candidates will carry original certificate

After document verification candidates have to go through Bio metric authentication

Stage-II

Based on performance in Computer Based Online Examination and the handling capacity of ICG Recruitment Centres candidates will be shortlisted for Stage-II and provisional E-admit card will be issued. The Stage-II of candidates shortlisted for CGEPT-01/26 & CGEPT-02/26 batches will be held separately. To download E-admit card, candidates are required to upload additional documents as mentioned in para 7(e) and select preferred date & centre within a given period as mentioned on ICG website. Failure to upload additional documents or submit date/centre choice within the time frame promulgated by ICG will lead to cancellation of candidature. Allocation of date & centre for Stage-II exams will be on “first come first serve basis”. The duration of Stage-II is 1-2 days and will be conducted at allocated centre. Stage-II involves following examination which are only qualifying in nature.

Basic Identity Check and Biometric Verfication All the candidates reporting for Stage-II will be allowed to enter ICG recruitment centres post basic identity check at the entrance gate and further subjected to Biometric Verification. The process of Biometric Verification has been explained in Para 6(a)(ii) above.

 Candidates whose identity cannot be verified at the entrance gate will not be allowed to enter ICG recruitment centres and subsequently they will be disqualified from recruitment process.

(ii) Assessment Test. Biometric verified candidates will undergo OMR based examination. This test is just qualifying in nature and the marks obtained will not be included in final merit list. However, only those who qualify this test will proceed for the next phase of examination i.e. Physical Fitness Test. The result will be announced after an hour of conduct of examination.(iii) Physical Fitness Test (PFT). Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk. All candidates are advised to be in possession of sports rig (Shoe, T-shirt, Trouser etc).

Recruitment Medical Examination. The Recruitment Medical Officer will assess the candidates for medical fitness as per laid down medical standards and declare them fit or unfit

Preparation of list

ICG will carry out the re-verification (in the absence of candidates) of documents submitted by candidates and only those candidates will be considered for merit preparation who will finally qualify the document verification and declared fit in recruitment/ appeal medicals. Merit list {Zone wise & category wise) for Nvk(GD) & Nvk(DB) and all India(category wise) for Yantriks for candidates who have qualified all the Stages and meeting the requisite criteria as mentioned in this advertisement will be prepared. The merit list of CGEPT-01/26 & CGEPT-02/26 batches will be prepared separately. Shortlisting of candidates for the post of Navik(GD) in either CGEPT-01/26 or CGEPT-02/26 batch will be ICG‟s decision based on order of merit and available vacancies

Stage – III. The candidates who qualify Stage-I & Stage-II and stands in merit as per the vacancies available will be provisionally shortlisted for reporting at INS Chilka and will be issued with provisional E-admit card. The Stage-III will be conducted separately for each cadre in respective batch i.e. Navik(GD) & Yantriks in CGEPT-01/26 and Navik(GD) & Navik(DB) in CGEPT-02/26 batch.

Stage–IV. The candidates prior to undergoing training at INS Chilka are to submit all original documents during Stage-III and verification of all original documents through Boards/ Universities/ State government etc. will be carried out by Indian Coast Guard. Candidate will be terminated from service if documents are reported as not genuine by respective Boards/Universities/State government
