Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme 2026 apply now
The Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme 2025 is recruiting for the 123rd course starting in April 2026, with a total of 76 vacancies for men and women combined. All candidates who complete Pre-Commission training at OTA, Chennai, will be awarded a ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Defence Management and Strategic Studies’ by the University of Madras.
- NCC Men: 70 vacancies (63 General + 7 for wards of battle casualties)
- NCC Women: 6 vacancies (5 General + 1 for wards of battle casualties)
These vacancies are for Short Service Commission (SSC) officers commissioned as Lieutenants. Eligible candidates are unmarried graduates holding an NCC ‘C’ certificate with at least a ‘B’ grade. The age limit is 19 to 25 years as of 1st July 2025.
The application window is open from August 11 for NCC Men and August 12 for NCC Women to 11 September 2025, with applications accepted online through the Indian Army’s official recruitment website.
Selected candidates will undergo training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, for 49 weeks.
Salary for this post starts at Level 10 pay scale (₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 per month).
