Full time B.E/B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in Civil discipline or equivalent discipline from recognized University / Institute with minimum 55% marks.

Field Supervisor (Civil)
Full Time Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized Technical Board / Institute with minimum 55% marks. Higher technical qualification like B.Tech. / BE / M.Tech. /ME etc. with or without Diploma is not allowed

Field Supervisor (Electronics & Communication)
Full time Diploma in Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Information Technology or equivalent discipline from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 55% marks. Higher technical qualification like B.Tech. / BE / M.Tech. /ME etc. with or without Diploma is not allowed

Special concession
The old employee who have worked as field engineer/field supervisors/AE(FTB)/JE(FTB) for at least for one year or are working will get upper age relaxation. These candidates will mention their Powergrid Employee number in online application form.

National Skill Registry
All the candidates who will apply here will have to register themselves with National Skills Registry (NSR) at https://nationalskillsregistry.com and provide NSR registration number to POWERGRID.
Further, they have ti verify in their NSR profile at their own cost before joining or within 03 months of joining, failing which their engagement shall automatically terminate without assigning any reason/notice whatsoever: a. Personal details like Identity, Biometrics (fingerprints) b. Essential Qualification i.e. Post Graduation/Graduation/Diploma/Relevant Degree (as applicable) c. Previous employment/experience information Upon joining, candidates shall provide permission to POWERGRID to view their profile.
PGCIL Engineers Jobs-How to apply
Interested and eligible candidates shall register for POWERGRID – Common FTE Written Test-2025. Candidates will have to meet all the eligibility criteria including one year relevant post qualification experience, as on the last date of online registration. . The written test for all the provisionally eligible candidates for all the posts on PAN India basis in a single day.

The test would be of 1 hour duration (Extra time allowed to PwBD/ PwD candidates as per Govt. of India directives)
ii. Sections and Number of questions:
a. Technical Knowledge Test – 50 questions based on B.Tech / BE/ Diploma (as applicable) syllabus in the relevant discipline.
b. Aptitude Test – 25 questions tentatively on the following topics: General English: Articles, Prepositions, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Synonyms/Antonyms, Jumbled Sentences. Reasoning: Data Interpretation, Coding and Decoding, Deductive Logic, Inductive Logic, Data Sufficiency, Series Completion, Puzzles, Pattern Completion.
The test would be of 1 hour duration (Extra time will be allowed to PwBD/ PwD candidates as per Govt. of India directives) ii. Sections and Number of questions: a. All questions would be MCQ type with 4 options and carry equal weightage (1 mark each) and there shall be no negative marking.
