The application form is closing on 28 November for recruitment of General Duty Medical Officers in the West Bengal. This is only meant for Reserved category candidates. No UR candidates can apply for this posts.
Departmental candidates can also apply if they are not in regular service.

WBHRB GDMO Special Drive Reserved Category Educational Qualification
- MBBS degree included in the First Schedule, Second Schedule, or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or any State Medical Council is mandatory.
- Selected candidates must register with the West Bengal Medical Council within six months of joining.
Other Requirment
The experience certificate must be issued by the Head of the Institution(s)/ Organisation(s)/ Clinical Establishment(s)/ Hospital(s) where the candidate has worked, in proper letterhead along with requisite seal/stamp, bearing Memo No. and Date of issue of such certificates.
For Private Experience, candidates have to produce, copy of the CE License of the Institution/Organisation/Clinical Establishment/Hospital, where the candidate has worked, and copy of the First Month’s & Last Month’s Pay Slip, corresponding to his/her period of experience, along with the experience certificate.
Experience:
- Prior experience is not mandatory, but relevant experience will be awarded additional marks in the selection process
WBHRB GDMO Selection Process
- Academic performance in MBBS carries 70 marks.
- Relevant medical experience carries up to 15 marks.
